Working in an office or dental practice can be stressful on our bodies creating pain, discomfort and even absenteeism. Sitting is now recognised as a serious health hazard.  But it doesn’t have to be so.

WorkingPosture has some very easy and UNIQUE solutions available in the workshops below. We can rewire the causes of your problems to recover from the pain and even help prevent further difficulties developing.

TMJ Workshops

Workshop for practitioners (2hrs):

Live online workshop (zoom)

  • To understand the deeper aspects of the craniomandibular area and how it functions for Mastication, speech and self expression.
  • To understand how I work with clients from a functional neuroplastic perspective
  • To know what patients will experience in my workshop
Workshop for patients (2hrs):

Live online workshop (zoom)

  • Gentle movement lessons to reduce tension in the craniomandibular
  • Area and begin to improve function of tongue, lips face and neck
  • To see if they would benefit from more Feldenkrais work

Workplace and School Programs

Half day program:

45 minute lecture to introduce the theory of Working Posture. Includes

  • introduction to Workingposture—why sitting at work causes pain
  • Good posture is not what you think it is and why does it matter
  • How to use neuroplasticity to relieve pain & prevent future problems”

 

3x 45 min live online (ZOOM) Awareness through Movement Lessons (ATM) to rewire your nervous system to be more flexible, more balanced and more stable and have more strength and less pain.

  • Learn to balance your spine with pelvis—learn to work in the “sweet Spot” (How to adapt posture for using Loupes or Microscope)
  • Learn to turn + reach using spiral movement without strain to shoulders or neck
  • Better use of shoulders, neck and arms ( to avoid RSI and neck problems)
Full day program:

All of the half day program PLUS…

1x 15 min Lecture

  • “Anatomy of WorkingPosture”. How sacro-iliac joint (SIJ) becomes locked from sitting all day – leading to Sciatica

 

3x 45 min live online (ZOOM) Awareness through Movement Lessons (ATM) to rewire your nervous system to be more flexible, more balanced and more stable and have more strength and less pain.

  • First Aid strategies to defuse pain and stiffness AT WORK and unlock SIJ
  • How to identify and build up your core and strengthen over time
  • Learn to balance flexors & extensors of trunk for better use of core and spine

If you have a workplace injury and need rehabilitation this is the workshop for you. Lessons can be tailored to your particular disability or injury.
